"uw-safari" diversifiziert sich !
Liebe Freunde, Mitreisende und Fans !
Nach einigen Jahren in der Amateur-Liga der Serviceanbieter und Reisevermittler in der Taucher- & Globetrotter-Szene geht 2010 uw-safari in eine neue Phase über.
Die Plattform www.uw-safari.net wird in der Form,in der Ihr sie seit Jahren kennt, erhalten bleiben und weiterhin offen sein für Eure Beiträge, Fragen usw. Wir freuen uns immer über Berichte oder Kommentare zu Euren Reisen mit uns... ggf. auch mal über konstruktive Kritik!
Daneben wird es demnächst den "Profi-Bereich" geben, denn auf www.uw-safari.net können wir nicht mehr alles abwickeln, was an Anfragen zum kommerziellen Teil aufläuft. Daher kommt nun bald an Stelle des kleinen "Store" und als Ergänzung zum "Trip-Schedule" die neue Seite

Der Einfachheit halber werden wir uw-safari.net und -.com so verlinken, dass für den Besucher und Benutzter im internet nur ein paar klicks notwendig werden, um ganz schnell auf beiden Seiten surfen zu können.

Dear friends, fellow travellers and fans,
after quite some years in the amateur league uw-safari goes "pro" and steps into a new phase.
The well known page and platform www.safari.net will remain and stay open for all your inputs. Be it stories about your journeys with us, pictures or well-minded, constructive critics!
But besides that the need for another site to handle all issues in conection with bookings, sale of equipment or accessories, training and coaching became pretty urgent. Thus we will open another page soon:

to replace our little "store" and "trip schedule" and offer those services more convinient and compact. Both pages will be linked and be most easy to operate for all who have used "uw-safari" before and those future friends and customers as well. ".net" and ".com" will only be a few klicks appart offer all info and advertising even nicer at hand.

Introducing Dhonk
Dhonk is a private company which is making handicrafts in and around Ranthambhore.
It aims to provide a sustainable livelihood to people living near about Ranthambhore.
Dhonk’s aim is to promote raw local talent and bring out the colors of Rajasthan for the consumer.
Dhonk is a blend of ethnic and modernistic fashion, giving the best of both the worlds to the buyer.
It is focused on achieving perfection steadily to bring maximum joy for its patrons.
Dhonk in Conservation
Tiger Watch an NGO in Ranthambhore has been working on the anti-poaching and reform of a traditional poaching community - Mogya. (www.tigerwatch.net)
The reform program includes giving alternate livelihood to the ex-poachers families, under this several Mogya women were trained on handicraft work.
Since Tiger Watch is not into any business venturing it was time to hand over to an organization which could take these products to the world market.
Dhonk is hence born out of the need to give sustainable living to the Ex-poacher’s family and also to the people living in the park periphery who earn their income from cattle grazing inside the forest or with illegal wood cutting.
Objectives of Dhonk
1. Give alternative employment to the Mogya Tribe, the ex-poachers families.
2. Give alternative livlihood to the villagers who are the ‘Tiger’s Neighbors’
3. Educate the people working with us on issues related to the forest and the Tigers.
4. Part of profits to go towards tiger conservation.
Why Dhonk?
Dhonk (Anogeissus pendula) is the tree of the dry deciduous forest of Rajasthan. It is the clothing of the oldest hill range – Aravalli... Our products come from the Aravalli range hence we chose the name Dhonk for the enterprise.
As the season changes the colour of the Dhonk changes. ..Dhonk gives Cover to the Tiger and Fodder to the Ungulates .. Similarly our Dhonk gives funding support for the tigers conservation and alternative employment options to the ex-poachers families and villagers who are the tigers neighbours, thus creating good will.
